New Crosswalk Markings Installed at Central & Main

The City has completed installation of high-visibility crosswalk markings at the intersection of Central Avenue and Main Street. The project was funded through the Newton County Safe Routes to School program. New markings use durable thermoplastic material rated for 5–7 years of service. Rumble strips and updated signage were also installed at the same intersection. "Safety is our top priority," said Mayor Vang. "This improvement will make it safer for students walking to school and pedestrians crossing downtown."
