Community Yard Sale

City-wide community yard sale! Register your address at City Hall to be listed on the official map. Pick up your map at City Hall starting June 5th. A great way to connect with neighbors and find hidden treasures.
Summer Splash & Ice Cream Social
★ Fairview Park
Beat the heat with free ice cream, lawn games, and a water balloon toss for the kids! Hosted by the Fairview Parks Committee. This free family event kicks off summer right in Fairview Park.
4th of July Fireworks & Celebration
★ Fairview City Park — Newton County Fairgrounds Rd
The City of Fairview's annual 4th of July celebration featuring a community picnic beginning at 5:00 PM, live music by the Crowder Creek String Band, and a fireworks display at dusk (approx. 9:00 PM). Food vendors on site. Bring the family!
Farmers Market — Season Opener
★ City Hall parking lot, 100 S Central Ave — Saturdays 7 AM–noon
The Fairview Farmers Market kicks off its 2026 season! Every Saturday through October, local growers and artisans bring fresh produce, honey, baked goods, crafts, and more. Come early for the best selection.
Back to School Drive
★ City Hall, 100 S Central Ave
Donating school supplies for Newton County students heading back to class. Drop off backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other supplies at City Hall through August 1st. Distribution event August 8th.
Halloween Trick or Treat — Downtown District
★ Downtown Fairview — Central Ave
Participating businesses and City Hall will be open for trick-or-treaters from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Look for the orange pumpkin signs in storefront windows. Parents: please accompany young children. Have a safe and spooky Halloween!
